Quitting Heroin by
Relocating |
Drastic times call for
drastic measures. And while relocating to
another city, state or country may seem extreme to some,
many
heroin addicts see it as their last resort and
the only way to quit heroin, stay clean and turn their
lives around. Consider relocation as
Plan E. 'E' for escape.
Furthermore, if done correctly right from the start,
you can actually end up living a happy, clean, and decent
life within a very short period of time.
Sometimes, those heroin demons can become much too strong
for you,
attacking you from every angle and sometimes from within
your very own home. It’s even harder when you’re living
in the city and the dope spot’s on every block.
But if you’ve tried Plan A, Plan B, Plan C and Plan D,
and still failed when you returned home then maybe
its time for a change of plans.
While some may be happy and content living within their
home town, others may prefer to relocate, not only to
quit heroin and stay clean, but to start a whole
new life all over again from scratch. If you
want to start a whole new life in a fresh, new
environment, then relocation can become a
powerful strategy to accomplish this goal.
Some addicts manage to quit heroin and then within a few
days, weeks and even months fall right back into that
heroin slave trap all over again once they see their old
dope-friends or the old dope-man, (their dealer) hanging out at the old
dope-spot. These are all temptations waiting for you to
get you to give up, give in and throw in the towel.
You can stay and fight, and even win, as many do, with the
help of family, friends, and a good support system in
place. Or you can choose to run and run for
your life. The Children of Israel ran from the
Egyptians, their slave masters. And there’s
nothing wrong with you running from the enemy, heroin,
your slave master, and your dope-infested environment -
especially if your ultimate goal is to quit this thing,
start fresh, and turn your life around.
If you want to quit heroin, stay clean and start
a whole new life all over again from scratch then you
may want to consider relocating to another city, state
or country as soon possible. However, wanting
to relocate and actually doing it are two different
things. Wanting to relocate is the easy part. Anyone can
dream. And even if you can get away for only 1 to 2
weeks then do it! Go!
Yet doing it is the hardest part ever. Human nature does
not like change. But if things don’t change
soon, then most likely, you'll stay hooked on dope
forever. And in time, you will be brought down to a
peace of bead, become nothing, and eventually, wither
away and die.
Heroin destroys the will of man. And soon, you won’t
have any will power left at all. No matter how much
you'd love to quit, it just becomes impossible to do so.
And the longer you take to put your foot down
and turn your life around, then the worse things will
get.
The time to make a change is now.
The time to start planning and take action is
now. If you cant stay clean where you're at
then move. And don’t be afraid for what lies ahead of
you. I can almost guarantee you, that if you do things
right from the very start, then most likely,
you’ll have a much better life than what you have now.
And anything is better than what you have now.
Don’t get me wrong. You may go through hard times
at first. You may suffer some. We still have to pay for
our wrong doings from the past. “You can’t do
wrong and get by”. LDA. But all you have to do
is just hurry up, get it over with as quickly as
possible and then move on with your 'new life'.
In time, life can become wonderful, bringing you to
people and places you never thought possible. You’ll be
able to build a whole new reputation. No
one will know you as a drug addict anymore.
You can start a whole new life with a whole new
profession. No more hustling. No more crime. And
for my dope sisters who took a wrong turn - no more
stripping, no more escorting, no more prostitution, and
no more selling your soul for dope. You’ll finally be
able to live a normal, clean, decent life. Because this
isn't just about quitting heroin - this is about changing your whole entire
life - forever.
A new place. A new start. A new you. So don’t worry. Be happy. And don’t be scared.
Relocation works. It worked for me. And it can work for
you too.
True. You will be going on a
journey into the unknown. But I would much
rather go on an unknown journey to make an
attempt to change my
life than to stay put and live the same
heroin-addicted lifestyle, day after day after
day.
I would much rather take a chance,
and try to move some where far
and start my life all over again from
scratch than to stay, wither away, an
die. But this time, I would do things right. I
would stop doing wrong and start doing
right.
I would drill it into my head that I’m going to
move to quit heroin, stay clean, and
turn my life around. Then I would plan
everything out on paper, and then just do it and
go for broke if I have to! What’s a new
life worth to you?
Think about it. Relocation is like having
a second chance at life;
a second chance to make things right. How often
do you get a second chance to start your life
all over again? You won’t, unless you make it
happen or die trying.
Again, it won’t be easy. In fact, it's going to
be one of the most scariest moves you’ll ever
make. But if you do things right, with the right
motives, and good intensions, then
eventually, all things work for good, to those
who want to change. |
 |
Does this sound like you? Does
something inside you say, “I gotta change my
life. I gotta quit this junk and start living right.”
Does something inside you say, “I gotta get out
of this dope-infested place. I gotta move far away and
never come back again”. “There’s gotta be more to life
than just this.” Well there is – and so much
more!
And if that sounds like you, then get ready for
the greatest adventure of your life. Don’t be
nervous, and be not afraid. For the Good Force is with
you. And although traveling into the unknown can become
scary, you’ll still be much better off taking a
chance to leave than to stay where you are, relapse, and remain a
slave to heroin.
Don't worry about where you will live, what you will
eat, or what you will wear. If you do your best to quit
dope, stay clean, and turn your life around, then it's
quite possible that miracles can happen. Anything is
possible! You'll just have to take a chance and
hope for the best.
And the best way for relocation to work in your life
will be to first, determine in your heart and in your
mind that not only are you going to quit heroin, but
that you’re also going to quit all drugs and
change your life completely. This is
the only way to change, stay clean and turn your life around, is
to quit all drugs, once and for all!
You must be willing to go all the way; otherwise, in
time, you may fail, turn back, and most likely end up
becoming
worst than ever before.
No matter who you are, or what you’ve done, the
best thing that you can do with your life is to stop doing
wrong and start doing right from here on out.
Life is too short to continue to live in the manner in
which you’re living now. Going all the way, quitting
all drugs and living right, is the best way to go
and it will increase your chances greatly for having a much
better life wherever you go.
Once you've settled this within your heart, then figure
out where you’re going to go, and how you’re going to
get there. You have to have a goal first and then create
a step-by-step plan to achieve that goal. Even if your
plan is to pack your stuff up, get in your car, and drive
down south, that’s still better than having no plan at
all. If you cant quit heroin and stay clean
where you live now, then move.
If you’re in the U.S.A, then it’s always best to quit
heroin and stay clean in a warm and sunny place, like
California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas or Florida.
These places are also the best places for
singles and families to start all over again as
well.
It's much more
pleasant to deal with the heat than it is to deal with
the snow and the cold winter months. And it's much more
peaceful to live in the suburbs than it is to live in
the city. But then again, that's up to you. |
 |
California offers beautiful warm
weather, almost all year round, no snow. Tall palm trees
everywhere and beautiful beaches are just a short drive
away. A drive up the Pacific Coast Highway allows you to
enjoy beautiful ocean views and spectacular mountain
scenery. And there's Yosemite and the Sequoia National
Park as well. And best of all, you can wake up 3 hours
late and still not miss anything.
Arizona is also a beautiful place to
live with breath taking scenery and majestic mountains
everywhere.
The hot weather with the dry air brings more sunny days than
rainy days throughout the year. Golf courses are
plentiful. And the Arizona sunsets are absolutely
beautiful. The population is
growing while the cost of living remains affordable. And
there are no earthquakes or tornadoes to worry about.
New Mexico is a peaceful and quiet
place to live with a vibrant artistic and cultural
community. The old city offers magnificent landscapes
with outdoor activities all year round. And there's
plenty to see as well, such as the Chaco Canyon National
Historic Park, the Museum of Space History and the
Carlsbad Caverns National Park. New Mexico also has
affordable housing as well. And being close to Texas, it would be an
ideal and peaceful place to live.
Texas is another beautiful place to
live with
beautiful lakes, beaches and so much diversity in people
and cultures. The weather is warm and the summers are
long. And Texas was voted the "Greenest City in America"
by MSN. Texas also offers a strong economy and quite
possibly, the best job
market in the country. Yet the cost of living is lower
than most major cities. And it may also be one of the
most convenient places to live in the future as well,
seeing that Texas is right next to the Mexican border,
(just in case you might want to leave the country some
day), which makes Texas a great place to live.
Arizona, California, New Mexico and Texas are
all beautiful places to live, but if you're not
there now and had to choose a place to relocate to, then
Texas would be your best bet, mainly
for the reasons listed above. And if you live outside the USA then get
a VISA and come to America or even Central America as
well. Central America is beautiful, tropical and the
ultimate place to live the rest of your life in peace.
And you're more than welcome to visit, and stay as well.
However, some people, sooner or later tend to
end up in Florida, for some
reason or another.
And some how, I did too. Compared to New York,
Connecticut, and Massachusetts, Florida
is paradise.
It’s beautiful here. We got
beaches and palm trees everywhere. Beautiful
houses are separated by nice big yards laid with
fine green grass.
We got Disney World, Sea World,
Universal
Studios, Planet Hollywood, Wet and Wild, Kennedy
Space Center, Water Sports Center, Wide World of
Sports, International Drive, Sky Diving, Daytona
Speedway, Daytona Beach, Dolphin tours, tropical
gardens, beautiful parks,
good schools, University of Central Florida and
so much more.
And if you have kids then your kids
would love it here. It would be like a
never ending vacation for them, and quite
possibly for you too. Either way, your
kids deserve a better life. And
now you can give it to them.
Jobs are available for those who seek
diligently. Our people are warm, happy
and friendly. Our music gives life. We got cows
and horses too. We even got manatees. You won’t
find manatees in New York, that's for sure. We
got all kinds of brethren and animals here.
And if you want to quit this thing, stay clean,
and turn your life around, then
you’re more than welcome to join us.
The weather’s sunny and warm here all year round
making it the perfect place to quit dope. Even
during the short winter months, it’s still nice
enough to be outside.
Florida is also known as the gateway or escape
route to the rest of the world just in case
someday you
decide to get up and go. Simply put,
Florida is a beautiful place to live.
And if
you're going to relocate then moving to
Florida may be the best move you'll ever make.
Sometimes, it might even be easier for you to
relocate to a place where you already have
drug-free, family members or friends.
Family can become a great help to you,
especially during the initial transition phase.
However, if you don’t have any friends or family
to help you out, then you have one now, here in
Orlando Florida. And as long as you’re
coming down here to quit heroin, stay clean and
turn your life around, then I’ll be more than
happy to help you in any way that I can.
All you have to do is take a chance and
take that first step.
If you’re ready to start a whole new life all
over again from scratch, then start
planning, start preparing, and start moving
forward. |

If you got a little bit of money left in your bank
account then great. But if you’ve got nothing then don’t
despair, for there is still much hope for you.
But for those of you who still have some cash,
start by searching
ApartmentGuide.com or Google for apartments or
houses for rent within the city or state where you'll
be relocating to.
Start making a list and take notes on
prices, required deposits, utilities, expenses, etc. If
you’re low on funds then you may want to start off with
just the bare minimum until you can get clean and get
back on your feet once again.
Some places will rent to you regardless of your work
situation. And most cities have affordable storage
facilities everywhere if you need to store furniture and
other belongings temporarily.
You can even start looking for work before you
get to your new location. You can search online
for jobs for your trade and skills on
Indeed.com. You can even apply
online for a job at Wal-Mart, 7-11, or McDonalds as such
places are always hiring. You can also start
working right away by going to a local temp agency first
thing in the morning. The first ones there always get
work.
Or, if you have enough money to get by for the first few
weeks then you can worry about the job situation when
you get here. If you’re going to quit heroin cold turkey
then you might need to take the first 2-3 weeks off
anyway.
You’ll need time to get your stuff together before you
can begin to adapt and work your way back into society.
Then once you’re feeling better and stronger, or at
least good enough to work, then you can begin to look
for a job if that’s what you need to do.
If you’re going to quit heroin with Suboxone then find a private doctor
on
Suboxone.com and get started on a short
term, low dose Suboxone program the minute you get here,
but call them and make an appointment before you get
here.
For further information on quitting heroin with
Suboxone, Methadone and other lesser evil pharmaceutical
drugs then please read my article,
“How to Quit Heroin
with Meds”.
Or..., if you're low on funds, then you can
detox first, under medical supervision, (for
free), and then relocate. And to do so, all you
have to do is call 1-800-662-HELP (4357).
Tell them what city, state, and county you live in and
then ask them to help you find a free or low cost,
state-run detox center to go to. Make the call and make
arrangements. Detox first, and then relocate
right away!
Worse case scenario: If you have no
money at all, then somehow, either work to earn it, or
sell something to buy a one-way ticket to your final
destination.
Then locate the nearest
Salvation Army
rehabilitation program, a
Sober Living Home, or any
church ran rehab center. Such programs offer
short and long term detox and rehabilitation programs
which are free to enter. But they’ll have you working in
no time since most of those programs are actually work
based programs. But that’s ok. Work is good.
And it’s better than living on the streets.
Go through the quitting phase as fast as you can and
they’ll help you find work right away. It’s quite
possible to work a full time job during the day and a
part time job at night in order to make more money as quickly as possible to
keep yourself busy and out of trouble and
eventually get your own place.
I realize that some of you will be coming down here with
just the clothes off your backs. And that's fine. I
admire that, and consider you to be the bravest of them
all. And some day, this will all make a great story to
tell your grandkids.
But for those of you who still have a life,
money and some earthly possessions, then you may want to
consider the following to relieve stress during
the transition phase.
If you have children, then you'll also be dealing with
the anxiety which they too will be going through while
changing schools and meeting new friends. You may want
to search for a good neighborhood near a good school in
order to make a better decision on where to live.
You can find information on most schools on the
internet. Write down phones numbers, addresses, and
visit the schools to be considered. Once you've chosen a
new school for your child or children then you can have
the old school send their school papers and documents to
your child’s new school. (Unless of course, you plan on
home-schooling your children which is highly recommended
these days.)
Make and use a list: Your brain is
fried and most likely you’ll forget many things. Make a
list of things that must be done before you move. i.e.
obtaining maps, returning any items which you may have
borrowed or movies which you may have rented; filling
out change of address forms; transferring prescriptions;
calling all of your credit card companies to give them
your new address; canceling your home phone line, cable
and internet services, and making sure you have your
utilities shut off before you leave and turned on in
your new home before you move in.
Make arrangements to move: Call a
moving company and make the reservation and preparations in advanced or
reserve and rent a moving truck from
U-Haul or
Ryder to
do it yourself.
Sell or give away unwanted, earthly possessions:
Keep what you need and get rid of the things you don't
really need. Have a yard sale. Sell or give away things
to neighbors or friends who may be in need. Just take
what you need and sell the rest. You can buy new stuff
later on down the road.
Don't wait till the last minute: Get
boxes and packing materials ready and then start packing
early. You never know how long it's going to take to
pack all your stuff. Mark and pack one of those boxes as
"Essentials" for when you arrive at your new location.
Do not pack important documents: Keep
all important papers and documents in your possession or
close by at all times, i.e. social security cards, birth
certificates, passports, court papers, probation papers,
marriage licenses, divorce and child custody papers,
etc.
If you’re on probation, but still need to move, then ask
your probation officer for a probation transfer. Explain
the situation to them and Be Honest.
Tell them that you want to relocate to quit
heroin, stay clean and turn your life around.
Your probation officer might be understanding and might
help you to make arrangements with your new probation
officer in your new location. Anything is
possible.
And if you have outstanding warrants, but not ready to
turn yourself in, then hurry up, relocate, and turn your
life around. Then some day, after you’ve been clean for
many many months, you can go back to face the music.
You can stay on the run, but sooner or later
you’ll have to go back to answer for your crimes or your
crimes will come back to you. But at least by
that time you will have lived a clean, decent life long
enough to be able to prove it. When the court sees how
you’ve turned your life around, then
maybe, just maybe, they might show you mercy,
and just place you on probation in your new home state
or dismiss the charges completely. Anything is
possible.
But in the mean time, don’t worry about that stuff.
Worry about, relocating, quitting dope, and
starting your life all over again.
And when you do leave, don’t say a word to the dope man
nor to any of your dope friends concerning your move.
Erase their phone numbers from your cell phone
and change your phone number as well.
To them it must appear as if you've just vanished off
the face of the earth.
Tell only your close, drug-free, family members and
friends where you'll be moving to. Make sure that they
have your new phone number just in case they need to
reach you.
Check weather reports ahead of time to know what the
weather will be like on moving day, especially in the
states you have to drive through on the way to your new
location. The last thing you want to do is to drive
right into a horrible storm.
Sometimes, when starting life all over again, one has to
actually start from the bottom and work their
way up. But as long as you’re doing the
right thing, staying clean and working hard, then in
time, things can get better. And if you live
outside the USA then come to America.
Relocation works. It worked for me, and it can
work for you. And for "some of you", (not all of
you), but for some of you - relocation is your only hope.
However, let me be clear; none of this is guaranteed. There
are no guarantees that everything is going to work out
perfect for you. But there are however, a few things
that you can do to improve your chances for
change and success.
When you get to your new location, try not to make new
friends right away. You’ll be much better off sticking to yourself
or with family. But eventually, you'll meet some good,
clean, decent people.
-Do not waste time.
-Do not, I repeat, do not go out looking for heroin.
-Do not go out looking for weed, coke, crack or ecstasy.
-Do not go out looking for opiate or benzo pharmaceuticals on the
street.
-Do not make friends with anyone who partakes in any
such things as mentioned above.
Do however, read and re-read my article, ‘How to Quit
Heroin and Stay Clean for Good’. Don’t just read it,
re-read it and do what the article tells you to do.
Those who do, amazingly, end up quitting heroin,
staying clean and turn their lives around.
-Do quit heroin.
-Do stay clean.
-Do keep busy.
-Do work hard.
-Do exactly what you came here to do and do it quickly.
-Do your best to change who you are and turn
your life around.
If you do your best to do everything right, then in
time, you can end up having a life you've never dreamt
possible; a clean, decent, moral life; a life that you
never thought would be granted to you; a second chance
for a new, meaningful life which none of us deserve.
This is a gift. Throughout this
website, you’ve been given the keys to the kingdom.
There is gold at the end of the rainbow. All you have to
do now is follow that rainbow to wherever it leads you.
You have the power to change your destiny
just by making a simple choice. You now have the
opportunity to alter the course of your life.
All you have to do is make a decision. And that
decision will change your life forever.
There’s a wonderful life out there waiting for you. And
sometimes, you just gotta take a chance, go out there
and get it. So don’t worry and don't be scared. You can
do this. If you want to quit heroin, stay clean, and
start a new life all
over again then start planning, start packing, and start
moving now.
Good luck. And
may the good force be with you...
