How to Quit Heroin |
Dear heroin addict,
If you've made it this far then be of good cheer - for there is still
much hope for you. This website was made just for you and might
possibly save your life. You are now on 'the right path'
so keep reading.
There are a few ways to quit heroin:
However, I can assure you, that no matter which route you take,
there will be a battle. There will be a constant war going on
within your body, mind and soul. It won’t be easy, but it can be done.
I
can assure you, that it can be done.
And if you can just start pushing yourself to start building momentum, start trying to quit, and put everything you got into this then I
promise you, you will quit heroin, stay clean and have a chance
to turn your life around. And after this, your life will
never be the same again.
And no matter how many times you’ve tried and failed before, you’re going to have
to get up, dust yourself off and try again or else nothing will change.
But this time, you’re going to have to fight with all your heart, all
your might, and all your soul.
It’s do or die. It's quit dope or die trying. You’re going to have to quit
heroin or die trying in the process. Otherwise, there is no hope. You'll never
change. And you will continue to be a slave to heroin, forever.
Unless… you come to the place in your
life to where you can finally say, ‘enough
is enough’! No more! And then make a full blown effort to quit this junk,
stay clean, and turn your life around.
There is no better feeling in the world than waking up in the morning to
feel your normal body once again,
without having the need for heroin or any
opiates just to feel normal.
It's such a relief and a wonderful life not having to
worry about how you're going to get that first bag of
the day just to be cured. You won’t have to lie, cheat or steal any longer.
And you won’t have
to waste your money, your time, and your life away on this poison any more!
Enough is enough!
And after you quit heroin and win this battle, then you
can begin to turn your life around and focus on the more important things in life,
like your family,
your friends, your goals, your dreams and life itself. You can live a normal life once again,
and possibly have a better life than ever before. Because if you
can manage to quit heroin then I can assure you, that you can accomplish
anything in life.
I started doing heroin with my father in Brooklyn New York at the age of
15. I used to lie, cheat and steal in order to get high. By the age of
17, I started living a life a crime, stealing cars just to support my
daily heroin addiction. I used to sell dope, coke and crack. I used to
go to jail 4-5 times per year each and every year from the age of 17 to
21.
I started off snorting heroin and then later graduated to shooting up
every single day, several times per day. And that was on top of the coke,
the crack and the weed. And crack messes up your brain
big-time. I tried to quit heroin many times in many ways but
failed every time.
The end to my heroin addiction nightmare finally came by the age of 21
when
I finally got so sick of myself, so sick of my life and so sick of being a slave
to heroin that I finally said, "enough is enough! No more!" No
more being a slave to dope! It’s time to change - once and for all!
That’s when I decided to put my foot down, quit dope, and turn my life
around. I stopped shooting dope, stopped doing crime, cut off
all my dope friends and relocated
to Orlando Florida.
From there, I started a new life all over again from scratch. I started
to change who I was into who I am now. It wasn't easy. In fact, it was the
hardest thing I've ever done in my life. I had to actually change
everything; my attitude, my personality and my manner of
living. I had to
start my life all over again in order to bring about change. But in
time, I did it! I quit heroin for good and eventually became drug free.
I'm 39 now. I haven't touched heroin in over 18 years. And I
will never touch that or any other drug ever again in my life!
I don’t drink, smoke, nothing. I live a happy and healthy lifestyle each and
every day. And I want to help you to do the same. I want to help you
quit heroin, stay clean and turn your life around, because I know for a
fact that it can be done. And if I can do it, then
believe me, you can do it
too!
I'm going to teach you how to quit heroin, stay clean and turn
your life around. I’m going to give you step-by-step
instructions from mine own personal experiences that
will help you to quit this nasty habit once and for all.
However, none of this will do you any good if you don't
start trying.
Now, I realize that every heroin addict lives under different, and
sometimes, unfortunate circumstances.
We're all different. We've all come from different lifestyles and
different backgrounds. Yet, we've all fallen into that same heroin
prison trap. But it doesn't matter who you are or what
you've done. What matters now is what you do
from here on out. And I'm willing to bet that I
was 10 times worse than you. But if I can change, then
so can you.
And regardless of where you come from or what you've
been through, each and every one of you has someone who truly cares
for you, yet knows nothing about
your heroin addiction. They may have a clue, but they may not realize
and understand the seriousness of just how bad your heroin addiction
really is - which brings us step 1.
This first step may seem impossible for some
and may not apply to others. But I can assure you,
that executing phase 1, step 1, will bring an almost instant change to your
daily life as a heroin addict. This will help put a stop to the madness
or at least slow it down for the time being. And in the fullest sense,
it just might save your life. Therefore, you may want to
consider the following:
 |
Step 1: Come Clean |
Come clean to your mother. Come clean
to your father. Come clean to your brother. Come
clean to your sister. Come clean to your wife.
Come clean to your husband. Come clean to your
girlfriend. Come clean to your boyfriend. Come
clean to your best friend. Come clean to your
true friends. Come clean!
And when you do come clean, keep your head down
and come clean 100%. Put it all on the table.
Don't try to hide anything and don't try to make
the situation seem less than what it actually
is. Be honest and come clean now before it comes back to get
you later on down the road.
“You can't do wrong and get by”, LDA.
If you don't come clean now then sooner or later
it will all catch up to you and most likely
will cause a major disaster in your life.
Come clean now while you still have the chance.
Then beg for forgiveness. Don't stop
apologizing. Don't stop telling them how sorry
you are. And don't stop asking them to forgive
you. Even if you feel that you haven't done
anything wrong to them, there's always a good
chance that you’ve deceived them in one way or
another. There’s no such thing as an honest
heroin addict. |
 |
Therefore, be honest. For it is more important to be
honest than it is to quit heroin.
Furthermore,
'Coming clean' is for your own good and your own
protection. Your overseers will keep a watchful eye over you
from here on out. They'll help to protect you from destroying yourself
any further, if you let them. By coming clean, you won’t have to live a
double life any longer. You can begin to live a new life – an
honest life. Everything will change in an instant if you just
come clean. Just something to consider for now... But in the end, it's up to you.
And last but not least, beg them to help you. Beg them
to help you quit this nasty heroin habit once and for all. If you've
been truly sincere with all of the above and if the person or people to
whom you've come clean to have any ounce of humanity at all, then they'll
help you. They will forgive you and help you in any way
that they can, as long as you do your part to quit this thing and turn your life
around.
And if you have to do this on your own then get ready for the greatest
battle of your life. It will be you against yourself. And in the end,
it's going to be you, and no one else, who gets yourself out of this
mess once and for all. It will have to be you who
decides to crack down on yourself and force yourself to
do what is right and refuse to do that which
is wrong.
And if you have no one in your corner then I will be more than
honored to help you fight this battle every step of the way. I'll be there
to help, encourage and support you each and every day. But it's up to
you to decide, once and for all, to quit this thing and turn your life
around.
No one can do it for you. You have to do this for yourself and
for your loved ones as well. And what you do now, will determine
how the
rest of your life turns out.
Plan A,
quitting heroin cold turkey,
should always be your first choice. I realize it's easier said than
done and it can also become dangerous for some as well. However, quitting
heroin cold turkey, as painful as it is, has always been the right way
and the best way to quit.
Once you quit heroin cold turkey then that’s it, you’re done.
You wont have to worry about quitting heroin first, and
then weaning yourself from other medications such as
Methadone or Suboxone which can become just as addictive as
heroin, if not, far worse.
And
once you get through the pain and suffering from the
withdrawals, then you'll have a much better chance of learning
your lesson and staying away from dope for good. You won’t ever
want to go through that suffering ever again in your life.
I understand the pain. I've been there many times. But if you
follow my article on quitting heroin cold turkey to the letter,
then you can quit this thing and make it our alive.
Then from there, it's just a matter of time, diet and exercise
before your body can begin to return back to normal. It won't be
easy, but it can be done. And you can do it too!
You’ll learn a far greater lesson, have a far greater fear and
respect for heroin when you quit heroin cold turkey.
The painful withdrawals from quitting heroin cold turkey are, in
a sense, our reaping for being so foolish for trying heroin in
the first place, turning our bodies into slaves and hurting those who love us the most.
It’s almost as if we deserve to suffer for all the wrong that
we’ve done in our lives, and more importantly, to our loved ones. |
 |
To learn how to quit heroin cold turkey with specific step-by-step
instructions then please read my articles,
“How to Quit Heroin Cold Turkey”, followed by
“How to Survive the First 7 Days”. But don’t just read the
articles - re-read them, study them and do what they tell you to do.
And in doing so, you will quit heroin, stay clean, and turn your life
around.
WARNING: Pregnant
women should not attempt to quit heroin cold turkey as this may
cause major brain damage and possibly death to your unborn child. Please
read my article,
“Quitting Heroin While Pregnant” for further details and
instructions on how to quit heroin while pregnant.
Now, if you try Plan A, give it all you got and just
couldn't make it, then by
all means, don't give up and don't slow down now. Move on to
Plan B as quickly as possible,
quitting heroin warm turkey with the help of lesser evil
pharmaceutical drugs such as Valiums, Vicodins and
others as well.
When quitting heroin warm turkey you'll be doing everything the same
as if you were quitting heroin cold turkey but with the help of 'lesser evil' pharmaceutical drugs such as Valiums
and/or Vicodins, or
whichever low level benzos or opiates you have available in your country for
anxiety and pain.
When executing Plan B, you would wait until your body goes into full
withdrawal from the absence of heroin (12-24 hours) and then take 1 10mg
Valium and/or 1 10mg Vicodin every 4-5 hours. Then relax in the bath tub
filled with hot hot water and allow time for the drugs to take effect.
(20-30 minutes)
Valium is a
benzodiazepine derivative drug and can be used to treat
anxiety, insomnia, and most importantly, symptoms of opiate
(heroin) withdrawal.
Vicodin is an opioid drug which contains
hydrocodone, which helps with those bone crushing leg pains and
other withdrawal symptoms to a fair degree. Vicodin is used to
relieve moderate to severe pain and can help with other
withdrawal symptoms as well. |
 |
The goal here is not to get high and comfortable but
instead, to minimize painful withdrawals. Taking such pharmaceutical drugs at
low dosages and for a short period of time may be just enough to keep anxiety, cramps, nausea and diarrhea on
hold.
You'll still feel withdrawal symptoms such as moderate
cold chills and
irritableness even when taking Valiums and/or Vicodins, but your
pain and suffering will be less when quitting warm turkey as compared to
quitting heroin cold turkey.
However, try not to use these meds for more than 10 to 14 days
as Valiums and Vicodins are highly addictive drugs as well. Use them only as a
crutch to get off of the heroin and start tapering down after the first
3 to 5 days.
To learn how to obtain Valiums and Vicodins, and how to quit heroin warm
turkey then please read my article,
“How to Quit Heroin with Meds” and then just do it!
However if you try Plan A and Plan B, and
still fail at both, then again, DON'T give up by any means and
don't slow down now. Move on to
Plan C; Quitting
Heroin with Methadone or Suboxone.
Just about every heroin addict knows what Methadone and Suboxone
is. And most likely you've tried at least one of these drugs
before.
|
 |
Methadone is a full opioid antagonist while Suboxone is
a partial opioid antagonist. Methadone being the full and stronger antagonist,
relieves all of those painful withdrawal symptoms and cravings, thus
allowing you to continue to work and function like a normal human being.
Methadone has been proven to be very effective for helping users get off
of heroin and stay clean for good.
Suboxone, (Subutex) a partial antagonist, also relieves
withdrawal symptoms but yet does very little for cravings. However, both of these
drugs are highly addictive. Therefore, you would be much better off
starting off at the lowest dosage possible and then begin to taper down
by day 7 to day 10.
It would be best for you not to stay on any of these meds for more than 30 to 45
days, regardless of what your doctor tells you. Doctors and
clinics will keep you on these medications for many months and sometimes
even years, thus creating a whole new drug addiction. And that's no way to live.
(The sooner you get of these meds then the sooner you can move on with
your life).
When quitting heroin with Methadone or Suboxone, success is more likely
when accompanied by counseling from a trained therapist or attending NA
meetings. Therefore, you may want to look
for your nearest NA meeting being held in your area and
then start attending. (www.na.org)
Anyone can quit heroin with methadone and suboxone, but you'll
still have to battle that urge to use within your mind. You'll
still have to get used to living without using heroin each and every day. You'll have to do
everything you can to keep yourself busy every single day. And you’ll
have to plan your days wisely in order to avoid the possibility of relapse.
To learn more about how to quit heroin with Methadone and/or Suboxone
then please read my article,
“How to Quit Heroin with Meds” and then just do it!
Now... if you've tried Plan A, Plan B and Plan C and still continue to
fail then you may want to look into Plan D -
Quitting Heroin in
a Drug Treatment Rehabilitation Center.
There are many reasons why
drug rehabilitation centers work, such as relocation,
isolation and inaccessibility to opiates such as heroin.
And when you're in a drug treatment center you're safe. You're far away
from the dope spot, your dope-friends and influential
environments. |
 |
Furthermore, drug rehabilitation centers provide professional
counseling and medical supervision to assist through the detox stage
along with after care as well. The only problem with rehab, is finding a
good, clean, decent facilities for little or to no cost at all.
Most rehabs are expensive costing anywhere from $3,000, $10,000 to
$20,000 for a 1 to 3 month stay. And not many people have that kind of
money nor have medical insurance to help cover the cost.
But if you have the money, and/or have medical insurance to help with
the costs then by all means, find the best treatment center you
can find and admit yourself as quickly as possible.
Furthermore, with the new (U.S.) government health care reform, you may
have a better chance of obtaining insurance and thereby be able to
admit yourself into a high class, drug rehabilitation center.
And if your insurance will cover the cost then don't hold back - shoot
for the best.
When searching for the right treatment center, go far, as far as you
can. Out of state or cross country works best. Down south in
sunny Florida is even better. The sunny warm weather works
wonders. The farther you go from home then the harder it will be for you
to call it quits, pack up and go home, which happens more often than
not.
Make sure the drug treatment center is in a secluded area, away from the
city. It would be great if the facilities had a park, benches, trees,
walkways, trails, paths etc. A nice natural forest environment soothes
the soul. You can even choose beach front treatment centers with
beautiful ocean views - take your pick. The nicer the place then the longer
you'll stay and the better you'll feel about it. Check for amenities such as fully equipped gyms, saunas,
pools, basket ball courts, running tracks, etc...
The more they offer, then the more entertained you'll be while staying
there. Plan on staying there for as long as you can or for as long as
you can afford to stay. 90 days works best. The longer the stay then the better your
chances will be for changing your manner of thinking and staying clean
for good.
To learn how to quit heroin in a rehabilitation center then please read
my article,
“How to Quit Heroin in a Drug Rehab Center” for step by
step instructions and then just do it!
Either way, whichever path you take, there will be a battle. And I can
assure you, that this will be the greatest battle of your life.
So plan wisely and then execute your plan with full force.
It's all up to you now. Your life is in your hands. No one forced this
habit upon you and no one is going to take it away - no one, but you.
But… you can do this! I swear you can. You have to do this. Your life
depends on it. And you now have a little bit of ‘life’ in you. You've made it this far, now keep moving forward. So get
ready, choose your weapon, and then fight for your life- and this time,
WIN!
