Break the cycle on drug addiction:
|
My dad used drugs. And at a very early age, I used drugs. And eventually, my dad used drugs with me. Eventually, my dad used heroin with me. And more often than not, parents who use drugs will have one or more children who use drugs as well.
Some say it's in the genes, while others say it's a matter of sowing and reaping, and/or insufficient parenting, bad environment, drug using friends, or a traumatic childhood. And it may be all of the above as well, and more. |
But it gets worse. When the son or daughter uses drugs, then they begin to use drugs with their brothers and sisters and then with their cousins as well. And then eventually those siblings and relatives will have kids and some of them will go on to walk in the same path as well. Then those families fall apart, and lives are ruined as a result.
It's a vicious cycle that gets passed on from one generation to the next. But, there is hope, and that hope begins with you quitting drugs and turning your life around so that you can break the cycle and help others to quit drugs and turn their lives around.
If you have family members who are using drugs then I encourage you to hurry up and get clean and stay clean and then as quickly as possible help them to do the same. And when it comes to heroin, there's no time to waste. There are lives at stake. There are children at stake. People are dying from this horrible drug daily. |
And it's not just family, it's your friends as well. And by helping your friends to get clean you can help them to break that cycle in their families as well. You can help so many people to quit drugs and have a much better life. Break the cycle. Raise a drug-free family. And even if you don't use drugs, you can still help others quit drugs and turn their lives around. So many broken families out there all because of drugs. But if you hurry up and quit this drug then you may be able to save your family and other families as well.
So many good things to come, but you gotta hurry up and get all the bad things out of your life first so that you can begin to prepare yourself for the good that lies ahead. Good things are coming.

Quit drugs for your mother:
I remember all the pain and heartache I put my mother through during my days of using drugs and using heroin. I would lie, steal and take from her, even after all the good she has done for me my whole entire life. You’ve never seen a woman cry so many tears and go through so many sorrows. She kept begging God for help every single day, and eventually that help came. And oh the tears of joy that came into her life when I finally got clean, stayed cleaned and turned my life around. I was finally able to give her peace and love. I was finally able to give back to her. She was finally able to be happy again after so many years of sorrow. And after all the wrong I’ve done to her she never gave up on me and is still my number 1 supporter till this very day.
So man, if you still have your mom in your life, then please hurry up and get clean and stay clean for her. Change your life for her so that she can have peace and happiness in her life. We owe our mothers our lives. Quit drugs for your mother. Quit drugs for your children. Quit drugs for your woman. Quit drugs for your man. Quit drugs for your family. And yes, of course, quit drugs, quit heroin for yourself, so that you can have a better life and become a better person. And if you keep thinking about others and keep putting others first then eventually things are going to get better for you. Life is going to get better for you. Break the cycle.

Quit drugs for your children:
Many years ago while I was struggling with heroin, I had my first born son, Jorgie E. Fernandez. He changed my world in a way I never felt before. I knew I had to do something to change my life in order to provide a better life for him. But the type of person that I was back then made it very difficult for me to do so.
Then one day, the pastor from my mothers church was trying to help me, and he asked me, “what was the most important thing in the world to me?” and I said, “my son”. Then he said, “then do it for him”. Change your life for your son. And from that time forward that's exactly what I set out to do, and eventually, I made it. We made it. And if it wasn't for him, for Jorgie, I really think I would've continued in my ways and ended up in jail, the hospital or the cemetery, or all 3. But man, Jorgie changed my life. My son changed my life. Some of the best days of my life was when it was just me and him. Used to come home from work, take him out to ride his little bike. Come home, relax a little, and then play some more.
|
Those were some good days. Very good days. Watched him grow up from a toddler through his teens, late teens. Then I don't know what happened, but on October 9th, 2014 I lost my son Jorgie E. Fernandez to cancer – a horrible horrible disease. He was only 22 years old. Still can't believe he's gone. Still can't understand what happened. Still try not to think about it.
All I know is that he changed my life in so many ways. And if he’s watching over me right now then the last thing that I want him to see is his dad using drugs. That's the last thing that I would want him to see. Haven't seen my other 3 children in over 3 years, but the last thing that I want is for my children to show up at my door and find their dad using drugs. I wouldn't want to be a disappointment to them more than what I already am. But hopefully, someday, things will change.
But if you're struggling with drugs, heroin, then ask yourself, what is the most important thing in the world to you, and then do it for that reason. Quit drugs for your children. Change your life for your children, for your loved ones, your family and yes, do it for yourself so that you can have and live a better life. Break the cycle. Life is too short to keep using drugs. Live your life for your children. Live your life for your loved ones. Live your life for others. You wont regret it. Over 20 years clean from heroin, thanks to my son, and over 8 years clean from every other drug, and God help me, I will never go back again. R.I.P. Jorgie E. Fernandez January 10 1992 - October 9 2014
