Step 2. Stay clean:
Staying clean from drugs, heroin, coke, crack, meth, is not that simple, but yes, it can be done. You can do it. And the first thing you have to do is say bye to your dealer once and for all. Tell him that’s it, you're done! Then bock and delete his phone number right away.
Even if you know the number by memory, block and delete it anyway and change your cell phone number as well. Don’t be afraid to let go of friends who use drugs as well. If they want help then help them. But if not then go on your way. You can come back for them later. |
Throw away your drug kit and all of your drug paraphernalia as well. You have to try to be strong and stay strong and battle your thoughts and cravings daily. You may want to get some type of counseling and therapy, a sponsor, a mentor. We all need counseling, guidance and direction and all of these can help greatly as well.
Don't be afraid to come clean to your loved ones. Don’t be afraid to reach out for help. Your friends and family can become your number 1 supporters during and after your recovery as well.
Don't be afraid to come clean to your loved ones. Don’t be afraid to reach out for help. Your friends and family can become your number 1 supporters during and after your recovery as well.
Keep yourself busy every single day, working hard, being productive, setting goals and working on those goals daily until you get to where you need to be. Helping others get clean and stay clean can help you to stay clean as well. Start taking on a healthy lifestyle, doing everything you can to improve your health, eating healthy, drinking plenty of water, taking vitamins and supplements and getting some form of exercise daily, as a healthy lifestyle can definitely help to counteract drug addiction as well.
And if need be, then you may want to consider getting on MAT, Medication Assisted Treatment, Suboxone, Methadone or the Vivitrol shot, the 30 day heroin blocker as all of these can help greatly as well. Please remember, there is no one size fits all. What may work for one person may not work for another. And MAT treatment, when done correctly and under medical supervision has been proven to be effective when it comes to heroin and opioid treatment. There’s no doubt that MAT treatment has saved many lives and it can help save yours too.
And if you can’t stay clean where you’re at then you may want to consider relocating as well. Move to another city. Move to another state. Move to another country if possible. Start a new life somewhere new. Change people, places, things - new people, new places, new things. Do whatever it takes to quit these drugs and stay clean for good. It won’t be easy, but it can be done. All you have to do is try, and keep on trying until you get to where you need to be in life – a new and better life. Don’t give up. Keep moving forward. You can do it.

Step 3. Turn your life around:
After you quit drugs, heroin and remain clean, then it’s time to turn your life around. First thing you have to do is set goals - real goals, such as improving your health, relationships, finances, living conditions and more.
Make a step-by-step plan on how to achieve those goals and then start working on those goals daily. |
For example, for better finances, find work, work hard, and/or start a business, build a website, or start a new career in a field where you are helping people in one form or another. Work on improving your finances as best as you can. Work on improving your living conditions, housing, transportation, etc. Work on improving your whole entire life. It may take time, patience and hard work but eventually things can get better. Things can begin to change.
Do the best you can to make amends with friends and family and work on improving relationships. Try to build new relationships as well and be with like-minded and like-hearted people. You never know, you might even find a good woman, or find a good man. You might even find love, and maybe even start a family or extend your family.
Work on yourself. Try to become a better person – a kind, loving, honest person. Always be humble, and stay humble. Life tends to show mercy to people who are humble. Try to help people every chance you get and be kind to others everywhere you go. You never know what other people are going through. Even a simple smile can help someone greatly.
You can start a whole new life – a new and better life. Follow your heart, try to do the right thing in your life and eventually everything else will fall into place. Anything can happen. Anything can change. Anything is possible when you quit heroin, stay clean and do everything you can to turn your life around. There's a much better life waiting for you. So don't give up, never give up. Keep on trying, keep moving forward. You can do it! Wish nothing but the best for every single one of you, and may only good things and good people come your way.
Sincerely,
