The Adolescent Substance Abuse Treatment
The Adolescent Substance Abuse Treatment (ASAT) Program provides outpatient, intensive outpatient treatment, professional assessment and prevention education in San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties. ACS offers an effective and unique model in adolescent treatment by focusing on: Family Therapeutic Model - Especially for adolescents, the family unit plays an important role in successful recovery. Family therapy is part of treatment. 12 Step Community Reinforcement - The 12 steps offer teens an important treatment support system and effective tools towards sobriety. Abstinence is the goal in recovery. Individual Therapy - By addressing the underlying issues that may contribute to substance abuse, ACS sets the teens up for success on their journey of recovery. Individual therapy is a component of their treatment plan. Group Therapy - A teen peer group and parent support group are part of the treatment at ASAT. The ASAT Program is a state certified outpatient treatment program, providing the following services on a fee-for-service basis: Assessment, Outpatient, Intensive Outpatient Aftercare. The ASAT Program accepts referrals from the community as well as from the Palo Alto Unified School District (PAUSD). Referrals for substance abuse assessment made by PAUSD are free of charge to the family of the teen being assessed. Sliding scale fees are available for families with a demonstrated need. Family & Children Services: Since 1948, Family & Children Services of Silicon Valley has been improving the lives of children, teens, and adults in our community through emotional and mental health services. We counsel teens at risk of suicide, prepare foster youth for success, assist veterans and their families, and help families heal from violence, abuse, and addiction. Adult Treatment Services: Our outpatient treatment provides individualized support to assist men and women in recovery. The Walter Hoving Home
The Walter Hoving Home, a 24-hour residential spiritually-based rehabilitation center, is a non-profit organization serving women ages 18 and over who have been involved in drug addiction, alcoholism, prostitution and other life-controlling problems. The 6 or 12 month program is geared to rebuilding broken lives in an atmosphere of warmth, trust, support and love. Casa de las Amigas
Casa de las Amigas is a 24-hour alcohol and drug residential treatment center for women.
